Mayor's Vision

To become the most sustainable city in the country, the District has drafted an ambitious, yet achievable, vision that creates the framework to become a healthier, cleaner and greener city. This vision creates a better tomorrow by focusing on social equity, economic competitiveness and environmental quality. We encourage you to read “A Vision for a Sustainable DC” and share it with friends, family, neighbors and co-workers. We need to reach as many people as possible in the District and the region in order to achieve this vision. We also encourage you to provide comments on the Vision to help make the District sustainable over the next 20 years. The “Sustainable DC Vision Brief” highlights the goals to make the District more sustainable and outlines the planning process. Please feel free to share either document at your local events and meetings.
